so, i have a weird request. if any of you come across an original coricidin bottle (one from before the 80s), send me an email. here are two examples of what to look for. note the snap top (not a screw-on top)...so, whatch for fakes. one with a label still on it would be ideal, but not necessary (as long as it's an original).

here's why: duane allman used a coricidin bottle to play slide guitar. duane allman is one of the greatest guitar players of all time (IMO, trailing *just* behind jimi hendrix for #1). my dad is a huge duane allman fan, as well as a guitar player himself. if i could find an original coricidin bottle, it would easily be one of the best birthday/christmas presents i could ever get him. :-)

i'm not incredibly worried about him visiting this site -- he's kind of a technophobe. not to mention that my parents still don't have the internets. :-P

I don't know if you've seen this yet, but here ya go... The Real Bottlenecking Company Unfortunately I don't think you can get one with the label...You could always email them to see if they have the label. If not, maybe you can photoshop one, or I could if I could find the warnings and ingredients listings on the label.

lol...nah. i'm actually looking for an original, vintage bottle. something more like a collecters item than an actual, practical guitar slide.

i appreciate your thoughts, drew, but from my perspective, i'm looking for a BOSS 429 Mustang (circa '69-'70) and you're telling me i can get a mid-'90s, 6-banger Mustang at a local car lot and just put a BOSS sticker on it. Not quite the same. :-)

haha, good call, but I was just thinking of it more or less as building a Boss 429 from parts made today that add up to a '69 Boss, and then given an antique look and feel. A little brass lacquer in the paint can yellow out the finish a little, the stainless steel can be polished up nice too, just as a freshly printed Coricidin label can be rubbed with tea leaves to yellow it out, and soaked a little to age and soften the edges and crack the label some. In the meantime i'll keep an eye out on ebay for a real bottle.
