gogogadgetearl . Back in my day…

Ever heard the line "Well, in my day _____" from someone older than you? Ever said it to someone younger then you and they look at you like you are nuts?
Normally, the stuff I read on this site, (blog, forum, whatever it is), merely gets me through the next ten minutes until I decide it is time to do something with my workday.
Today, however, I found this gem at Cracked.com and I must say, it is making me seriously consider my current social and career situation. This list is probably the culmination of everything I have been thinking over the last 6 months, and it all usually starts with, "why is everything in the world so wrong?" or "why does moving to Canada seem like a good idea?"
It's sad to think that this is what the world is, and it will never get any better as long as some of this mess exists. Mess, that I am sorry to say, helps pay my bills.

"and it will never get any better as long 'ASS?' some of this mess exists. i am assuming that was a typo...but i must say that that was a very interesting article...and i agree with 75 percent of it...there is no personality to the world these days...i mean go to walmart and see how many people look you in the eyes...shoot go to the airport and strike up a conversation with a stranger...i have actually noticed in the last year or two since i have not been around you phill and brad as must i am not as confident in talking to people anymore...my skills are severly struggling...mainly becasue i had to be careful how i said anything around phill or he would turn it around to make me sound stupid...not hard to do but still...and even so much as talking on the phone...i hate it because you can't read or talk to people with your hands and body...i still find myself telling a story to a friend on the phone and i am useing my hands like they are right in front of me...on a side note i stopped by the office and saw you at your desk the other day...you had your headohnes on so i didnt bother you...i was putting in a resume again...

oh, you know me, extending my weird case of Tourette's Syndrome into my typing...problem solved, thanks for catching it.
As far as I can remember, the last few conversations we all had at the house before everyone moved out, didn't actually require words as it was simply one punchline after another that we all knew and didn't have to say. Does that go beyond casual acquaintance or even close friendship if we all know each other's personality so well that we can predict thoughts? Good times either way...- [ 2007.09.12 | 7:58:13am ]
