• with vista came UAC -- the User Account Control. i'm sure you know what it is. i'm sure you've seen the apple commercial. "you are coming to a sad realization . . . allow or deny." it's suppose to be all about security. well, for me, it's really all about being annoying. sure you could simply disable it, but then there really is no extra security. so a compromise has been created. tweak uac gives much of the security benefits, while turning off all of those annoying "allow or deny" pop-ups. after you run that, you just have to turn off the tray icon.
